Modular systems for extra-heavy and oversized loads are a combinable mode of road transport whose modules (or parts) (with 2-6 axle lines) and accessories can achieve a total payload of up to 5000 t. These modular systems offer perfect interoperability with vehicles from different manufacturers and in multiple configurations. This variety of combinations, as well as the user-friendly operating concept of this alternative load in a guarantor of flexibility and economy for the heaviest and most complex transport jobs.

Main characteristics:

Technological aspects

Axis compensation
Each set of wheels is equipped with a hydraulic suspension cylinder. Depending on the transport need the cylinders are connected to 3- or 4 suspension groups. This combination of cylinders ensures that the weight is evenly distributed on all axles.

Oscillating axle – working principle
One axle line consists of 2 sets of independent wheels with oscillating axles. The oscillating axle can handle significant unevenness in the ground due to its oscillating bearing. They ensure optimum ground contact and equal tyre pressure under the most difficult conditions and keep the platform almost horizontal.

Forced hydraulic steering
Each modular tyre has at least one integrated hydraulic steering system. The customer can choose between standard and reverse steering. Steering is controlled by a gooseneck or drawbar. The freely accessible steering rods between the wheel sets allow easy and safe adaptation of the steering angles. Remote steering by wireless or wired remote control is part of the basic configuration. Compared to articulated steer axles, the driving height on the oscillating axles has no impact on the axle track.
